Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MetMate mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”), operated by MetMate Team (“MetMate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MetMate. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

• you are at least 18 years old
• you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement
• you are not prohibited by law from using the Services
• you have not previously been removed from the Services for violating these Terms, unless we expressly permit your return

2. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• provide accurate, current, and complete information
• keep your login credentials confidential
• update your information as necessary
• remain responsible for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate your account if information is false, misleading, incomplete, or used in violation of these Terms.

3. License to Use the Services

Subject to these Terms, MetMate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services except as permitted by law
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where prohibited by law
• use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated means to access or interact with the Services
• interfere with the operation, integrity, or security of the Services

4. User Content

You may submit profile information, photos, messages, reports, and other content (“User Content”). You remain responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to post it.

By posting User Content, you grant MetMate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, moderate, review, and use that content for the purpose of operating, improving, securing, and promoting the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.

We may remove, restrict, review, or refuse User Content if we believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, or our safety standards.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use MetMate to:

• impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation
• harass, threaten, bully, stalk, abuse, extort, or exploit any person
• upload or share content that is defamatory, hateful, violent, discriminatory, illegal, or fraudulent
• distribute spam, scams, phishing content, malware, or deceptive schemes
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of others
• use the Services for unauthorized commercial activity, solicitation, or advertising
• circumvent bans, restrictions, or moderation actions
• collect or harvest other users’ information without authorization
• promote or facilitate illegal activity
• share non-consensual intimate imagery, sexually exploitative material, or content involving coercion, blackmail, or threats
• create, upload, request, share, promote, or distribute content involving the sexual exploitation or endangerment of minors
• use the Services in any way that may harm MetMate, its users, or the public

6. Child Safety Standards

MetMate has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”), child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any other sexual exploitation or endangerment of minors.

You may not use MetMate to create, upload, store, share, request, promote, or distribute any content or behavior that involves:

• child sexual abuse or exploitation
• grooming or sexualized interaction with a minor
• sexualized images or videos involving a minor
• threats, coercion, blackmail, or sextortion involving a minor
• any other illegal or exploitative conduct involving minors

MetMate will take appropriate action upon obtaining actual knowledge of suspected CSAM or CSAE, including removing or disabling access to the relevant content, suspending or terminating related accounts, preserving records where appropriate, and complying with applicable law.

MetMate will comply with applicable child safety laws and reporting obligations, including reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority where required by law.

7. Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation

MetMate provides in-app tools that allow users to report content, report accounts, block users, and submit safety concerns without leaving the app.

We review reports and may take action including content removal, warnings, account restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination.

Abuse of reporting tools, including false or malicious reports, is prohibited.

8. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Paid Features

MetMate may offer paid features, subscriptions, or digital services. If you purchase a subscription or paid feature through Google Play or another third-party platform, your purchase is also subject to that platform’s billing terms and conditions.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law:

• fees are non-refundable once charged
• subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
• you are responsible for managing your subscription through the platform where you purchased it
• pricing, features, and availability may change at any time

MetMate does not guarantee any specific result, number of matches, conversations, or relationship outcome from paid or unpaid features.

9. Termination and Account Actions

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if:

• you violate these Terms
• we believe your conduct creates risk, legal exposure, or harm
• we suspect fraud, abuse, spam, or illegal activity
• we are required to do so by law
• your account remains inactive for an extended period, where permitted

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, designs, trademarks, logos, text, graphics, and other content provided by MetMate, are owned by or licensed to MetMate and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited license granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. MetMate disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, and uninterrupted operation.

MetMate does not guarantee:

• the identity, intentions, conduct, or truthfulness of any user
• the compatibility of any users
• that communications or matches will lead to any particular outcome
• that harmful, offensive, or unlawful content will always be detected or removed immediately

You use the Services and interact with other users at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetMate Team and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of MetMate for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to MetMate, if any, during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• USD $100

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MetMate Team and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:

• your use of the Services
• your User Content
• your violation of these Terms
• your violation of any law or the rights of another person

15. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute, claim, or concern arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, you agree to first contact MetMate at veparimandal38@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be handled in accordance with applicable law.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated Terms in the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
